What have ISP's been doing with the money people pay? Probably big fat bonuses.

I see no excuse for these issues existing. People in charge of these networks know what the demand is and what the growth rates are etc. so why haven't they been ensuring that there network infrastructure is future proofed? They'll be handing out congestion charging next!

I already pay for 8Mb broadband at present yet due to the rubbish quality of my lines coming into the house I can only manage 1Mb! So when BT upgrade my local exchange next year, it won't make any difference to me at all unless they also replace the cable coming up the street.

Did ISP's and Network Owners think that the existing cable infrastructure would last forever? Probably not and it also seems like they didn't care...they were getting paid after all!
