Mobile broadband is a joke. The marketing of someone using a laptop in the park or a mountainside is cloud-cuckoo land (once you ignore the glare on the screen aspect too!)
Go more than about 100 metres from a 3G mast, and you get bugger all signal, and drop back to tortoiselike GPRS.
