How sad: Few of these will earn money:

At a time when the UK economy is far too reliant on the "finance" sector;

Surely we need new industries which will generate "exports" and provide a range of high quality jobs?

Too many in this list seem inspired by current (possibly short-lived) popular bandwagons.

Governments have a poor record in "picking winners" but this list looks particularly disappointing.
