Other ISPs have already started to promote these higher speed services... I'm with Freedom2Surf who have announced (here http://www.f2s.net/adsl/press.php?release=28) their 8 and 24Mbit services as a result of their parnership with Easynet LLU (see http://www.f2s.net/adsl/press.php?release=27)
According to their checker here http://www.freedom2surf.net/adsl/homeuser.php I will be able to get 8 Mbit soon from my Exchange in Ealing.
