AOL in talks to buy Red Hat

Watch-out Microsoft, AOL is gonna get yer...

AOL Time Warner is in talks to acquire Linux distributor Red Hat in a fresh move to attack the company's rival Microsoft.

Microsoft intends to move into cable TV in the US, where AOL is the second largest company.

Linux is the major alternative to Windows, which runs around 90 per cent of the world's computer systems.
