More than ten million UK homes are now connected to the internet, with one in four choosing unmetered access.
According to the latest report from Oftel, more than four million households got internet connections at home last year, and a high proportion took the unmetered option.
Unmetered access rose from 14 per cent in May 2000, to 24 per cent up to May 2001.
