Cable modems set for boomtime

The European cable modem market will grow dramatically over the next four years according to a report from IDC.

IDC predicts the market will rise in value from £33m in 1998 to £550m in 2003. However, the research house warns that prices will have to be kept low due to competition from DSL technologies.
