Energis tops network reliability league

By Lisa Burroughes

Energis has the most reliable telecoms network for businesses in the UK, according to an Oftel-backed report.

The findings of the Comparative Performance Indicators report for the last six months of 1998 put Energis at the top of the league when it came to the number of faults reported, with just 0.7 faults per 100 lines for the sixth time in succession. In comparison, BT had 3.3 reported faults per 100 lines and MCI WorldCom had 2.5

The report is based on a set of comparable performance indicators developed by UK telecoms companies, several consumer organisations, and is backed by Oftel.
