In brief: Siemens wins Liverpool MAN contract

Liverpool City Council has contracted Siemens to build a Metropolitan Area Network. The task requires linking up existing networks and replacing network infrastructure at the council's data centre. The aim of the project is to set up email for the council's 220 schools and to allow more public access to local government processes and decisions.
